Gregg Popovich Calls Celtics 'Championship-Caliber Team'
Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

Arguably the best coach in NBA history is bullish on the Boston Celtics' title chances this season.

Following the Celtics' 33-point drubbing of the San Antonio Spurs on New Year's Eve, Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich called Boston a "championship-caliber team."

Popovich knows a thing or two about what it takes to win an NBA title. The 74-year-old has coached the Spurs to five titles during his stint as head coach, with his most recent title coming in 2014 when San Antonio eliminated the Miami Heat in five games in the championship series.

Boston will hope to continue its winning ways when it visits the Paycom Center to play Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday.
