It feels like it’s over — and with good reason.
The Heat lead the Celtics by a 3-0 series count in the Eastern Conference finals, with Game 4 in Miami on Tuesday.
And the Celtics are who the Heat wanted all along. After, it was the Celtics who eliminated the Heat in seven games last season.
“We got the matchup we wanted,” forward Caleb Martin said, via Brady Hawk of 5 Reasons Sports. “We got to see the team that took us out last year.”
Miami has dominated in every way imaginable — big leads, blown leads, blowouts, you name it. The team that lost the first play-in game, and trailed with 2 minutes left in the next play-game, is now the beast of the East.
All the Heat need is one more win to make it official.
“That was a solid, mature, professional approach,” coach Erik Spoelstra told reporters after the Game 3 win. “There’s a lot of pent-up stuff here and we’re getting closer, but we still have to finish this off.”
